"Many of the photographs that I offer were taken in Bucks and Montgomery counties in Pennsylvania. Through my work I hope to show that you can find beauty right in your own backyard. Each photo attempts to elicit a feeling of contentment, peace, and a oneness with both the natural and spiritual world." -- John F. Williams
John F. Williams was born in Kingston, Pennsylvania, a tiny hamlet in the northeastern corner of the state. This region is as rich in its history as it is in its breathtaking landscapes. After high school, John attended Penn State University in central Pennsylvania. Upon graduating in 1986, he began a career as an electrical engineer, specializing in research and development. John has always loved the outdoors, but never felt the need to engage in hunting or fishing. Instead, he began hiking, and soon found himself enjoying the feeling of being in harmony with natural surroundings. In 1991, John changed employers and relocated to Bucks County, Pennsylvania. Mountain biking, astronomy, and hiking became his passions, and he tried to spend every free moment exploiting them. John's personal breakthrough into photography came in the spring of 1997, when spent two-week hiking through Arizona, Utah, and California with two close friends. Since that time, he has become quite prolific and has worked hard to refine his craft.
John's work can be seen at The Daily Grind in Hatboro, PA, and he has also shown his work at the Bells Tavern in Lambertville, NJ. The Hatboro Chamber of Commerce contracted him to do a photo tour for their website.
John is a founding member of myndSong.com.
